Abstract
When a research laboratory discovers or synthesizes new chemical compounds and other ones require information that describes them, usually, the exchange is done using BIN or CAM coded format of the compounds structure, rather than shipping any actual compound. Danger occurs if exchanged information refers to any hazardous chemical compounds that can be used in chemical warfare (e.g. CK, AC, CG, GB, VG and yet unknown others) mostly if all necessary precautions measures are not taken (e.g. secure communication systems, data encryption etc.). Therefore, this paper aims at presenting a new approach over chemical compounds coding, with some cryptographic flavors, in order to showcase that even if the coded format is intercepted the actual compound will be very difficult if not impossible to be discovered; efforts were focused on highlighting the elements of data manipulation, in order to achieve proposed purpose. Also, an assessment is made on “strength” of proposed method for data manipulation by quantifying the average time scrolling coded formats space to reach a specific combination.
