Abstract
The presence of inter-symbol interference (ISI), in addition to multiple access interference (MAI), severely hampers the performance of a communication system. To overcome such impairments,the OFDM-CDMA and OFDM-IDMA techniques have been proposed. In this paper, the space-time block coding (STBC) scheme is used in the aforementioned OFDM-CDMA and OFDM-IDMA architectures with two transmit antennas, in order to offer an additional reliability of the wireless link. The performance gain over the SISO configuration is demonstrated.
