Abstract :
This paper describes a design for high-gain antenna using the fusion of dielectric lens and conventional spiral radiator. The gain of a proposed spiral antenna combined with a biconvex lens was increased about 3 dBi by comparison with a conventional spiral antenna with the conical cavity wall. The narrow beam width was reasonably realized by using the optimized biconvex lens. Author confirmed that beam width and average gain are seriously influenced by not lens thickness but focal length by the simulation.
