Abstract
This paper theoretically present the control of the surface-plasmon-like modes propagating on an infinite periodic subwavelength metallic rectangular groove array partially filled with dielectric, using mode matching technique. The propagation characteristics are numerically calculated on the assumption that the periodicity of the array is much shorter than the free space wavelength, and it is theoretically shown how the surface-plasmon-like modes could be controlled by the physical size and vertical position of the dielectric slab.
