Abstract :
A card-type folded dipole antenna with high impedance and wideband characteristics was investigated for energy-harvesting applications. An impedance of more than 2000 Ω was realized by the high-impedance step-up ratio of the folded structure. A prototype of the antenna was designed with an EM simulator, and the simulated and measured results were compared. The measured results agreed with the simulated results, and the measured bandwidth was 4.5% of that corresponding to the four channels of digital TV broadcasting waves.
