Abstract
In this work, a beam-steerable reflectarray antenna operating at Ka band is presented using Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) technology. Reduced parasitic losses and mm-wave frequency operation are possible due to the monolithic integration of BST with the patch elements. A 45-element array is defined on a sapphire substrate using clean room fabrications. Utilizing a simplified biasing scheme, scan angles up to 25° are measured in the E-plane. The proposed array prototype demonstrates a continuous beam scanning reflectarray at Ka band using BST technology for the first time.
