Abstract :
This paper presents the design of a cross DRA array antenna covered by superstrate (ADRAS), using a novel feeding network method based on simple microstrip transmission line. ADRAS is suitable for broadband and high gain millimeter wave communications. Simulation results shows that the ADRAS achieves an impedance bandwidth from 57.8 GHz to 61.9 GHz covering ISM band, and gives an appreciable gain 21 dBi. The proposed design can potentially be used in underground communications systems. Numerical results are obtained using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software.
