Abstract :
In this paper, we present the design of a broadband circular aperture with low profile. The feeding structure is a circular waveguide with a transverse metallic disk on the feeding plane for minimizing the reflected waves in the waveguide. A circular wall with radial corrugations encloses the radiating structure. The structure exhibits a very good cross-polarization and gain within a 10% bandwidth. The depth of the cavity is only 0.27 λ.
