Abstract :
This paper describes a fixed-frequency, electronic beam-steering antenna where an integrated leaky-wave antenna is used to provide low-profile feeding of a varactor diode tuned, microstrip patch reflectarray. One-dimensional array simulations yield a continuous elevation steering range from approximately -45 to +45 degrees through broadside. The design is naturally extendable to two-dimensional arrays capable of full-space steering in both elevation and azimuth.
