Abstract :
In this paper, a two element semi-ring ultra-wideband (UWB) MIMO antenna is presented. The antenna is designed on a low cost FR4 material having a substrate size of 50×90×1.52mm3. The antenna covers 1.8-10.6GHz with minimum realized gain and total efficiency of 1.5dBi and 66%, respectively, at 1.8GHz. The size of each radiator is 24×12mm2. Isolation between antenna elements is enhanced by using a fork shaped structure and found to be more than 10dB over the whole operating region. The envelop correlation co-efficient is calculated from the far field radiation pattern and found to be less than 0.2 across the operating band.
