Abstract :
This paper presents a design of an efficient polarization independent reflectarray for 5-G mobile base-station applications. The unit cell of this array contains two concentric rings and a cross loop inside for bandwidth enhancement. This reflectarray is designed around 28 GHz and it is composed of 20×20 elements. A pyramidal horn antenna is used for the feeding purpose. The F/D ratio is taken as one. The simulation results show that the obtained gain is 26.6 dB with a slight variation over the operating frequency range and a good cross-polarization level.
