Abstract :
Remote-sensing application through satellites has turned into a new era due to the improved performance of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging system. The improved SAR image quality now open a new opportunity to utilize SAR images for change detection applications. In particular, the demand is growing to use SAR image to monitor natural disasters such as volcanoes and earthquakes or to foresee topographic changes, where it is difficult to make use of optical sensing technology. Recently, there is also a growing demand for monitoring military sites and detecting artificial objects in all weather conditions. Unlike the optical case, remote sensing through the SAR image allows all-weather, day-and-night surface surveillance and has the ability to detect, classify and geo-locate objects at long stand-off ranges. Thus, high-resolution SAR images are useful for analyzing to detect surface changes and promising data for geo-surface measurement. Two types of change detection may be distinguished for SAR data, the amplitude and the phase. Based on SAR images for change detection, therefore, the combined use of ACD and CCD can be considered. This paper addresses the advanced algorithm for change detection by a complementary to each other. Also, the components of amplitude and phase in the SAR image are used together for producing enhanced the target area information. In this paper, we suggest that the combined use of ACD and CCD offers a more informative to SAR image against target areas.
