Abstract :
Wireless sensor networks have been widely adapted in varies applied areas nowadays. However, few works are focused on the design of the interactive deployment system of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we propose an interactive sensor deployment system based on multi-touch devices. Our system could serve as a simulation platform for deploying sensor networks with multiple touch devices. The user could interactively deploy sensor networks following the design pipeline provided by the system, or could directly use the automatic deployment procedure to design sensor networks, and verify the feasibility of the effectiveness of deployments. Experiments showed that our system is effective and can be used conveniently. The system can be ported to mobile devices with touch-screens such as Microsoft surface, which are convenient to be taken to construction sites to guide the deployment of WSN.
