Abstract :
For proper electricity generation planning and scheduling of operation of the power plants, the actual demand is a must know. But it is almost impossible to determine the actual demand of electricity in Bangladesh due to shortage of organized data. In this research, a statistical method has been presented to estimate the total demand of Bangladesh in a typical peak hour in 2011. This procedure is acceptable for a power system like that in Bangladesh where bona fide particulars is absent.
