Abstract :
The novelty of this work is to deposit hexagonal ZnO nanorods (NRs) on seedless glass substrate by uncovered hydrothermal method. Zinc nitrate and hexamethylenetetramine have been used as reagent without further purification. The hexagonal ZnO NRs have been confirmed by the image of scanning electron and atomic force microscopes. From the X-ray diffraction analysis, ZnO film has showed the hexagonal wurtzite crystal-structure. The optical band gap of prepared ZnO NRs is 3.30 eV, which is compatible with chemically pure ZnO materials. The prepared ZnO NRs has chanced to apply for further photocatalyst applications of polluted-air and wastewater cleaning.
