Abstract :
Aim of this research is to meet the demands of power and energy in Bangladesh and attain the desired economic condition. For that purpose, international power contracts are signed and their power grids are imported. High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission link is used to interlink different grids of developed countries to reach the goal. Initially, the basic HVDC models are simulated using Simulink of MATLAB. Afterwards HVDC link is used in different conditions; such as ideal to non-ideal cases. Then various kinds of faulty situations like three-phase fault and three-phase breaker are applied and various non-ideal parameters are explored to see the changes in the performance as well as efficiency of the models.
