Abstract :
In this article the efficiency of single junction Silicon Solar cell has been studied for different surface area, thickness for both n and p regions and doping concentrations on both n and p regions of the solar cell. The study was conducted using the PC1D solar cell simulator. The change in power relative to surface area and thickness showed a proportional and inversely proportional relationship respectively. In case of doping the efficiency showed proportional relationship up to a certain limit, from where the efficiency values kept dropping. Finally, optimum parameters have been found out for maximum possible efficiency.
