Abstract :
The traditional on-demand routing protocols for Multi-hop Heterogeneous Wireless Networks (MHWNs) generally take the hop count or the expected transmission time as the measurement for the calculation of the shortest path or the minimum link cost. However, the impact of the coupling of the intermediate nodes on the life period of routing has not been integrated into the route measurement. When the communication node moves frequently, or the impact of fading and interference becomes large, it will lead to continuous routing reconstruction, low channel bandwidth utilization and high protocol overhead. In order to reflect the coupling relationship between the current relaying node and the next forwarding one, a high reliable routing protocol based on node dependency (RPBND) by the analysis of the channel state association information is proposed in this paper. By sending a set of short training sequences with fixed parameters of transmit power and data rate, the feedback of instantaneous channel state can be obtained from the receiver, which will serve as the weight of the communication link for preferred routing decision making. This method can improve the stability and reliability of routing while the current link cost can still keep low.
