Abstract :
Advanced PWM charge controllers for lead-acid batteries of PV systems use state of charge (SOC) control and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). The simulation of the PV system and the effect of the SOC control and MPPT on its performance and on the batteries lifetime is shown.
