Abstract
Some power supplies do not require accurate current feedback to function properly. In many cases the information about the output current is only needed to make sure that the power supply is not overloaded. This paper describes a sensing method of individual secondary currents of a four channel power supply built using a single core transformer, by sensing the currents flowing in separate primary windings. Each secondary current could be sensed on the primary side of the high insulation voltage transformer with sufficient accuracy to assure proper fault handling strategy for the power supply.
