Abstract :
Aiming at solving the problem of induction motor restart, which is affected by residual voltage when the power of the motor is interrupted and reapplied, a "flexible voltage" scheme have been proposed using a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR). When "flexible voltage" is applied to restart the induction motors, the motor can be quickly restarted with greatly reduced current surges and torque pulsation.
