Abstract :
This paper proposes a direct rotor-position estimation method for IPMSMs (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) in low-speed regions including standstill. Proposed estimation method does not require phase-locked-loop (PLL) which degrade the response of position estimation and it can improve the response of position estimation.
