Abstract :
The zero-voltage switched (ZVS) PWM converter exhibits low primary-side switching loss and generated EMI. Furthermore, the ZVS technique can be used to increase the converter efficiency and higher power density. In this paper the ZVS operation of the MOSFET switches leveraged for a three-phase, isolated AC/DC converter is analyzed and operating states during the switch transitions discussed. The presented PWM method permits the switching devices to operate under zero-voltage switching by using circuit parasitic such as a transformer leakage inductance and devices junction capacitance and switch´s body diodes. The operation principles and steady state analysis of converter are addressed and verified by the simulation result.
