Abstract :
Wireless battery charger system architecture equipped with adaptive multi-phase rapid charging algorithm based on a simplified electrochemical battery model is proposed. Excellent rapid-charging performance operated with the proposed wireless charging platform has been experimentally verified to show more than 70% charging time reduction compared to conventional constant-current constant-voltage (CC-CV) charging without the degradation of battery lifetime. Moreover, the proposed platform and the rapid-charging algorithm are adapted to the conventional commercial wireless robot cleaner.
