Abstract :
This paper proposes a plug-and-play PV system for DC microgrid based on an analog interleaved flyback converter implementation. The scheme´s flexibility allows for the operation to be at the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) or at any power curtailment level, as directed by the DC microgrid control or any suitable analog voltage signal. This novel technique is a very low cost one that utilizes a simple control arrangement while supporting system scalability. The converter features soft switching and accomplishes interleaving by implementing the master/slave synchronization methodology of two variable frequency flybacks operating in the boundary conduction mode (BCM). System diagrams, control strategy, and experimental results are illustrated in this paper. Notable performance of this efficient low cost scheme is established and presented.
