Evaluation of CPDLC and voice communication during approach phase

Saved channel usage with log on, log off, ILS clearance messages. Datalink pre-formatted messages is not solution for unexpected events and non-standard situations. With raising experience with datalink, pilots prefers datalink against voice for standard communication. Free text were labeled as too much consuming. Loosing situational awareness while using datalink - not proved. Datalink provides additional time for solving other airspace control issues.
