Abstract :
• Model Based Design (of Avionics systems) facilitates: • Identification of performance/resource issues at an earlier design stage • Design optimizations with shorter iteration time and less effort • Investigation of various design aspects in a reproducible environment • Isolation from other influencing factors for quantitative evaluations • For systems with complex DSP functionality MBD seems almost inevitable • PLUS (Power Line Data BUS) protocol developed by HSLU • Joins IEEE1901 PLC Physical Layer with ARINC-629 based MAC protocol • Prototype implemented on Xilinx System-on-Chip (SoC) platform • To be demonstrated using ventilation control system as a reference application (within EU research project ASHLEY)
