Abstract :
Personalization plays an important role and has become a hot topic in the field of search engine. In this paper, we discuss a user model based meta-search engine query results ranking method. We construct a user model based on user preferences, which not only enables users to take an initiative vote to search results, but also can be updated automatically and dynamically. And based on the user model, a search results ranking method of meta-search engine is also proposed. Experiments illustrates that the ranking method proposed in this paper achieves effective impact of user preferences on results ranking of meta-search engines.
