Abstract :
EIGHT ELECTRIC BUSES fitted with inductive charging coils have started running in Milton Keynes as part of a pilot project supported by the Department for Transport to assess the viability of all-electric vehicles in public transport. The buses, covering the number 7 route in Milton Keynes operated by Arriva the Shires, will run a 17-hour daily service and are each expected to drive over 56,000 miles a year.
