  • Abstract
    This paper presents four alternative architectures that allows the implementation of a SMSGateway service, by pointing out the pro and cons of each solution. SMSGateway is a middleware service that allows the SMS sending and reception from an application point of view, ideal to let any software service able to automatically communicate to final users by means of the SMS channel, irrespectively from the GSM telecommunication provider that provide the SMS service.
