Abstract :
Existing data storage schemes bring high storage costs for high storage dependability. To decrease storage costs, we propose a lightweight and dependable data storage scheme based on secret sharing (LDS). Existing schemes need to generate multiple data copies. LDS makes a set of data share a set of secret information. Thus, LDS needs to generate only a small part of a data copy, which is much fewer than existing schemes with same storage dependability. Experimental results show that LDS is lightweight and efficient with high storage dependability. Specifically, LDS significantly outperforms existing schemes with lightweight storage cost.
