Abstract :
The integration of a high penetration of intermittent distributed generation (DG) poses challenges to the planning and operation of the grid. In order to increase the acceptable capacity of DG, this paper researches on the sizing of DG based on active operation. After the analysis of several scenarios, a technical framework of secondary voltage control system is set up. It coordinates day-ahead control with real-time control. A simulation method is put forward. A sizing optimization model of run-of-river small hydro power is built. The minimal loss of distribution network and maximal clean energy generation ratio are taken as the objective functions under constraints of qualified voltage level. The simulation is based on the integration of operation and planning. By taking 33 nodes distribution system with DG as case study, analysis is carried out using multi-objective differential evolution algorithm. The effectiveness and applicability of the model and algorithm are manifested.
