Abstract :
In this paper, we have compared the achievements of educational institutions in Saudi Arabia in terms of ABET accredited programs and world university rankings. In other words, a brief survey of all ABET accredited programs at the associate, bachelor´s, and master´s degree level in Saudi universities and colleges is presented. Moreover, we have also compared the global rankings of Saudi universities over the last 6 years from 2009 to 2014, according to some of the most widely recognized international university ranking systems. Finally, we hope that our paper will be helpful in motivating educational institutions in the Arab world to continue to improve their performance in terms of accreditation and rankings both regionally and globally.
