Abstract :
Educational technologies (EdTechs) are considered to be one of the most rapidly developed fields of contemporary didactics and the main source of innovations that may allow revolutionary change in educational practice. Due to diagnostic goal setting, guaranteed results, immediate feedback and repeatability of educational process educational technologies make it possible to solve crucial problems and generate a higher return from engineering education. High level of the university professors´ competence in the sphere of educational technologies is one of the key factors that may help to design and implement them usefully in the innovative educational process at engineering universities. In the paper the course “EdTech and art of teaching” aimed at development of EdTech competence of engineering educators is presented and described. Its efficiency is evaluated by the survey. Specific examples of developed educational technologies for the discipline “Electrical machinery” is given.
