Abstract :
Since the academic year 2005/2006 the Faculty of Education at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, has offered a possibility to study a bachelor study program Occupational Safety and Health. As the students of this study program used to have problems to manage some technical subjects included in its curricula, in 2009 there was added an additional subject into the content of the study program, particularly it was the subject Applied mathematics and physics. Within this course students acquire basic knowledge of mathematics and physics necessary for further study in the technical field of the occupational safety and health. In the paper there are presented results of the survey which was consequently carried out to find out impact of introduction of the mentioned additional subject on the students performance.
