Implementation of the model of environmental engineers´ professional competency formation

Formation of competence in the course of professional training deals with the problem of professional competence as the educational outcome and a characteristic feature of the labor subject that determines the readiness to cope with job tasks on the basis of professional competences and personal qualities. The electronic learning resource “Virtual laboratory of environmental engineer” is presented as an effectual tool of formation of professional competence of future environmental engineers in the course of their training at the engineering university. The “Virtual laboratory of environmental engineer” was designed and implemented basing on interdisciplinary approach. It was elaborated and used with the help of informational and communicational technologies. The main goal of the resource is to actualize the students´ self-education.
