Abstract :
During the last decade there was made a great change in the Polish higher education system. As Poland joined the Bologna Process and began to take part in creation of the European Higher Education Area, there arose a need to redevelop the higher education system and to revise educational programs with an aim to adapt them both to changes in the philosophy of teaching as well as to the demands of social and economic environment. In case of the Polish technical universities first it was done a change for two-level system (BSc and MSc in engineering) starting from the predominant to that time one-cycle 5-year-system (MSc). Then, the ideas of education and professional recognition based on learning outcomes and qualifications framework were introduced.
