Abstract :
This paper discusses the rapid growth of the engineering education sector in China. Several examples will be presented on how engineers made significant contributions to the nation´s economic development. Suggestions are made on enhancing the engineering curriculum and improving the overall quality of engineering graduates in terms of technical, communications and leadership skills.
