Abstract :
In the paper tuning and testing of a combined fuzzy controller, which is a composition of classical PI and sliding mode controllers are presented. The constituent controllers are retuned with the use of fuzzy technique. For optimization of the parameters of the combined fuzzy controller the multidimensional simplex optimization method is used. The simulation investigations made for current control loop show the robustness of the controller to the changes of the system parameters. The recommendations drawn from the investigations, with reference to the choice of the controller parameters are given.
