Abstract :
In an interconnected power system, the communication link is maintained between remote terminal units (RTUs)-control center-plant units for load frequency control (LFC) application. The dedicated communication channels having constant time delay may degrade the dynamic performance or even lead to system instability. In this paper, a time delay dependent H non-linear sliding mode LFC scheme has been proposed using Lyapunov-Krasovskii function based on stability criteria and linear matrix inequalities (LMI) framework. Simulation analysis is presented for two-area LFC scheme with constant time delay and generation rate constraint (GRC) at different load disturbance pattern.
