Abstract :
Background noise is adversely affecting the speech intelligibility for the people with hearing loss. Over many years the problem of reducing noise in hearing aids has been addressed in different ways. The techniques used range from relatively simple forms of filtering to advanced signal processing methods. In this paper we proposed a method to cancel the effect of internal noise (Error Signal) in the digital hearing aid caused due to the acoustic coupling between the microphone and the speaker by using Adaptive filter. We have considered Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS) Algorithm and Recursive Least Mean Square (RLMS) Algorithm for cancelling the noise signal in the digital hearing aid and thus producing the original signal.
