Abstract :
A compact UWB fractal monopole antenna is designed using CPW fed technique. The UWB antenna covers UWB range of 1.19 GHz to 16.41 GHz. A pair of switch (ring slot resonator) is inserted to the CPW ground plane to achieve a reconfigurable antenna operating at different sub bands. By using the gasket fractal concept the miniaturization of the antenna is obtained which provides a better bandwidth better over a simple circular monopole. The simulated results are shown with Omnidirectional radiation pattern.
