Abstract :
5G provides the solution for satisfying the increasing needs and demand for more data rate and bandwidth. The millimeter wave band provides frequency spectrum for future 5G communication. But millimeter wave is highly affected by atmospheric conditions like rain, temperature, oxygen, fog, etc. Out of these atmospheric conditions, rain causes the severe interruption in the propagation of millimeter wave. The amount of signal loss due to rain depends on the rate of rainfall. As a result the received data would be erroneous. So for the transmission of data in the presence of rain same technique has to be developed. This paper reviews the effects caused by rain and also reviews the effect of other factors like water vapor, fog, oxygen and an urbanized area in brief. We are also proposing a way of transmitting data with less error in the presence of rain considering Indian climatic and population density conditions as millimeter wave communication not only affected by atmospheric conditions but also the population density of the region where experiments have to be performed.
