Abstract :
In WSNs, the fidelity may get affected due to the fault in the network. This fault may be of the type of node failure. There are various techniques which can handle these failures up to some extent. To heal these failures these techniques are broadly classified into two categories proactive and reactive. Topology management is one way by which node failure can be handled such as by altering the node position or rearranging the network, the connectivity can be restored. This paper presents a summary of some major fault mitigation/handling techniques available in the literature.
