Abstract :
A multi-band antenna for Wi-Fi/WiMAX operation is proposed. Defected ground structure (DGS) is used in this antenna with a plus shape slot in fed line to get an increase in gain of antenna. The investigated antenna has a rectangular patch and two inverted L- shape strips. The designed antenna has substrate dimension of size 21×31, and operates over the frequency 2.3GHz, 3.5GHz, 4.0GHz and 6.3GHz applications. The gain of the antenna is 1.95dB.the return loss at 2.3GHz, 3.5GHz, 4.1GHz and 6.3GHz are -25dB, -25dB, -14dB and -28dB respectively.
