  • Abstract
This paper presents a simple technique for generating the triple band.Proposed antenna design was targeted for Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and GPS application. The Operating frequency of Bluetooth and GPS is 2.4 GHz. The operating frequency range for the wireless LAN is 5.2 to 5.8 GHz .To design a triple band a ground plane loaded metamaterial structure was proposed. The results illustrates that the antenna has a triple band at 2.46 GHz, 5.27 GHz and 5.63 with return losses ™15.85,™33.25,™36 dB respectively. The design and performance analysis of a triple-band rectangular shaped micro strip patch antenna prototype designed on a Flame Retardant 4 (FR-4) substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4 is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna was simulated using ansoft HFSS software. The detail of the proposed antenna and the simulated result are presented.
