Abstract :
The impact of travelling surface acoustic waves on plasmonic devices is analyzed with a novel stroboscopic technique. Most strikingly, our electro-mechanical approach deliberately modulates the efficiency of a surface plasmon polariton launcher on sub-nanosecond timescales.
