Abstract :
PEVs are going to heavily load future residential distribution grids, specifically; slow chargers are more expected in domestic areas. This paper presents the real-time simulation analysis of the unbalance issues associated with charging and discharging of the single-phase PEVs. Simulations are performed using a real-time simulator and PEV battery specifications that are available in market. The results of the case study indicate how single-phase charging of those PEVs could cause significant phase imbalance.
