            Abstract : 
A kind of polarization-dependent High Impedance Surface is designed in this paper. We put it under the printed dipole antenna as a reflecting plane. It makes linearly polarized printed dipole antenna radiate circularly polarized waves. We get an axial ratio of 0.73dB at 4.67 GHz, which is a good circularly polarization effect. At the same time, this antenna has a high gain and low profile. Moreover, it realizes miniaturization.
