Abstract
In this paper the Fault Tolerant (FTC) vector controlled induction motor drive system (Direct Torque Control - DTC-SVM) is described and tested during different drive conditions. Influence of the incremental rotor speed sensor faults to the properties of the analyzed drive is tested. Faults detection algorithm is developed and presented. The control structure is modified by adaptive system in the speed control loop. Whole control algorithm is tested during the drive topology changes. The simulation results carried out in MATLAB/SimPowerSystem software and are verified in experimental tests in DS1103 processor, in the wide range of motor speed changes.
